Re Trying to install Ubuntu on an Acer one 10 (S1002) So simply by copying the mentioned in the post that you linked to the /efi/boot directory and disabling secure boot has allowed me to successfully boot onto the live media. My guess now is to take the approach here to install linux on a "32 bit UEFI" system:

aceraspire E1-410 no boot option. i replace my hard drive to new one but now there are no boot option menu when i press f12 not even the cdrom is in the list. and in bios insydeH20 setup utiliy under boot mode only UEFI is the only option and it doesn't have legacy.
